U.S. president Donald Trump is threatening to withhold support from nations who don’t back the joint bid by the United States, Canada and Mexico to host the 2026 World Cup.

美国总统唐纳德·特朗普发出威胁，美国将会停止支持那些不支持美国、加拿大和墨西哥联合申办2026年世界杯的国家。

Morocco also has bid to host soccer’s showcase. The FIFA Congress meets June 13 in Moscow to select the 2026 host, and a majority of the 207 voting FIFA members is needed.

摩洛哥也申办了世界杯。国际足联大会6月13日在莫斯科开幕，选取2026年世界杯主办国，主办国需要获得国际足联成员207票。

Trump tweeted Wednesday: "The U.S. has put together a strong bid w/ Canada & Mexico for the 2026 World Cup. It would be a shame if countries that we always support were to lobby against the U.S. bid. Why should we be supporting these countries when they don’t support us (including at the United Nations)?"

特朗普周三发推：“美国会与加拿大以及墨西哥联合申办2026年世界杯。如果哪些我们一直支持的国家反对此事，那简直是可耻。我们为什么还要继续支持他们呢（包括在联合国）？”

Trump met this week with France’s President Emmanuel Macron. French football Federation president Noel Le Graet told L’Equipe this month the FFF will vote for Morocco.
