少儿英语故事：天无绝人之路

A senior monk once asked a young monk, "If taking one more step forward means death, and stepping back means death as well, what would you do?" Without hesitation, the young monk replied, "I would go sideways."

In life, when faced with a situation where one is at a loss whether to proceed or retreat, perhaps a change in perspective would reveal that aside from the path ahead and the path behind, there is still an alternative route - the sidepath. It is a reminder that there is always a way out when we least expect it, and it is up to us to discover it.

一位老和尚曾问一位小和尚：“如果向前走一步意味着死亡，退后一步也意味着死亡，你会怎么做?”小和尚毫不犹豫地回答：“我会走旁边。”

在生活中，当我们面临进退两难的境地时，也许换个角度看待问题就会发现，除了前进的道路和后退的道路，还有另外一条路——旁路。这提醒我们，当最不抱希望时，也总有出路，关键在于我们能否发现它。
