导读:福原爱在日本和江宏杰完婚，并表示自己还会继续打乒乓球。

Japanese table tennis star Ai Fukuhara announced Wednesday her marriage to Chiang Hung-chieh, a fellow table tennis player of Chinese Taipei.

日本乒乓球明星福原爱在星期三宣布她和中国台北的乒乓球运动员江宏杰喜结连理。

The couple made the announcement at a press conference, saying that they got married on Sept. 1 in Tokyo.

这对新人夫妇在记者招待会上发表声明说，他们9月1日在东京结婚。

Fukuhara thanked her fans for their support and suggested that she would continue her athletic career after her marriage.

福原爱感谢了粉丝们的支持并表示婚后还会继续自己的运动生涯。

"Most female athletes in Japan give up their career after marriage. But Chiang’s support makes me feel that I can continue my career even after our marriage," she said, adding that she wants to show the younger generations of Japanese female athletes another option.

“大多数日本的女运动员在结婚后放弃了自己的职业。但江宏杰的支持让我觉得婚后也还能继续我的职业生涯，”她补充说，她希望为日本年轻一代的女运动员展示另一种选择。

The 27-year-old sports star was regarded as a "child prodigy" in table tennis in Japan. She went to China, which dominates the sports for decades, to be trained at a very young age.

这位27岁的体育明星，在日本被视为乒乓球界的“神童”。她在很小的时候就来到中国参加训练，一练就是数十年。

Fukuhara, who can then speak fluent Mandarin, is well known and has huge amount of fans in China too.

福原爱带着一口流利的普通话为人所知，有着一大批中国的球迷。

The Japanese women’s table tennis team led by Fukuhara won a bronze at the Rio summer Olympics earlier this year.

福原爱带领的日本女子乒乓队在今年的里约奥运会上荣获铜牌。
